Artist's Description
'Out On A Limb' is part of a set of two paintings. I started out with a painting of an egret that a client wanted very much to purchase. She wanted to surprise her husband for their anniversary with the painting. At the same time, unbeknownst to the wife, the husband calls and wants to buy the painting as well. I looked at my husband and asked him "What should I do?", He suggested I paint another egret, so the painting 'Out On A Limb" was painted to compliment the "Patiently Waiting" rendering.
After each one picked up their wrapped gift from me, on their special day, they were equally surprised to receive an original commissioned oil as their surprise gift .
They called me to share their excitement and pleasure at their matching designed set.
